MEET BRYAN WHIPPLE
Kitchen & Bath Designer Pennsdale

I find there is always a solution, whether it is looking at alternatives, working with customers to develop their exact vision, or custom made designs. I find myself working through it, and most times we can make it happen.Bryan Whipple on meeting design challenges

How long have you been designing?

I started designing around 1999, so approximately 17 years.

Did you study design? If so where?

I grew up working construction and went to school for building construction, and also grew up around computers, so it was just a matter of learning the software. I had the skills to install, so it was just a matter of knitting it all together.

Do you have any affiliations or accreditations from national design organizations?

I have a C.A.P.S. certification, from the NAHB, which is Certified Aging in Place Specialist, which focuses on using Universal Design techniques as well designing and home modifications for the aging-in-place.

What is your favorite project you’ve ever designed for a Lezzer customer?

I wouldn’t say I have a favorite project, but I enjoy learning the wants, and needs of the customer, as well as the styles they prefer, and working at providing a solution to them. Each experience is unique and has its challenges, I enjoy the problem solving, and I enjoy the interaction with the customer as well as the satisfied customer when the project is completed.

What’s your current favorite style trend for kitchens and/or baths?

I like wood in general as a medium, but I especially appreciate the current trend with painted colors, especially the greys and whites.

If a design challenge comes up for a customer, what steps to do you take to solve the issue?

I find that there is always a solution, whether it be looking at alternatives, working with the customer to see exactly what they are looking for, or getting something custom made. I just have to work through it and most time we can make it happen.

Outside of work, what are some of your favorite hobbies/activities?

My favorite hobbies are mountaineering, ice climbing, backpacking and camping, and traveling with my wife, Jessica. I also dabble in woodworking and auto restoration.
